A Taste of Oro Valley Postponed Due to High Winds

The annual A Taste of Oro Valley food and beverage tasting event organized by the Rotary Club of Oro Valley as a fundraiser was sadly postponed last Saturday due to high winds that made holding the event safely impossible. The event will be rescheduled for a future date.

The A Taste of Oro Valley event is an annual food, wine, and beer tasting fundraiser held by the Rotary Club of Oro Valley. This year’s event was scheduled for Saturday, April 1st, 2024 but had to be postponed due to strong winds.

The winds reached over 30 mph making it difficult to hold the outdoor event safely. As event organizer Linda Stratton, President of the Rotary Club of Oro Valley explained in a letter to the community:

“All of us were looking forward to sharing our Rotary Club’s annual A Taste of Oro Valley Life fundraising event last Saturday, but sadly the strong winds made it impossible to hold the event safely.”

The purpose of the event is to raise money for the Rotary Club’s community initiatives while also showcasing local restaurants, caterers, wineries, breweries, and other food and beverage providers.

The Rotary Club will announce a new date for A Taste of Oro Valley once it is decided. All tickets already purchased will be honored at the rescheduled event.

Options for Those Who Already Purchased Tickets

For those who already bought tickets to the postponed A Taste of Oro Valley event, there are two options:

  • Option 1) Hold onto your tickets. Previously purchased tickets will be fully honored at the rescheduled A Taste of Oro Valley event once a new date is set.
  • Option 2) Request a full refund. To get a refund, visit tasteoforovalley.org and go to the Contact page. Notify them you would like a refund for your A Taste of Oro Valley tickets. Refunds will be provided promptly.

The Rotary Club asks for the community’s patience. As soon as a new date is chosen for A Taste of Oro Valley, it will be shared on their website and social media pages.
